I get this phone call at least once a day.
Caller: "How do I get to your location from Grand and Jefferson?"
Me: "Well, you need to head east on Grand-"
Caller: "Is that right or left?"
Me: "I don't know which way you are facing... So I don't know if you need to turn right or left."
Caller: "Oh... um..."
Me: "East is away from the ocean."
Caller: "Oh! Right!"
Good God people.

Yeah, people are stupid. Well, not stupid so much as not intelligent in areas that concern, say, directions and other common sense things.
I beg to differ. Some people are just plain stupid.
